There has been so much progress in Solar Power in Africa in the last six months. Rwanda is building an 8.5 MW utility scale solar power plant. Kenya has committed to using Solar to power it’s grid. A German company completed a Solar panel manufacturing facility in Sokoto Nigeria.
The company will power its production facility using solar panels. The panels they manufacture have a unique feature. They work well in the desert heat. Traditional solar panels loose efficiency in very high heat like what you experience in the desert.
South Africa has manufacturing facilities representing some of the largest Solar Power and equipment manufacturers in the world. Both European and Chinese.
Now that the Germans have come to Nigeria and some Chinese manufacturers looking to manufacture in Nigeria, we hope that this is a trend or at least an expectation of things to come.
We will be increasing the prices of our RaLiza Premium power products by 20 to 50% on May 1 2014.
We have been offered office space in Ghana. We will be meeting with our agent next week and hope to expand into Ghana at the beginning of the 3rd quarter of 2014.
The need for an alternative is big in Africa. People in Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Togo and Nigeria desperately need an alternative to generators that would not only put their lives at risk but also bankrupt them. Our RaLiza Premium offerings meet that need. We hope we can encourage other companies to join us in offering Solar Power as an option to our suffering brothers and sisters.
We will be completing 5 installations in Nigeria within the next 50 days. We will post videos and pictures for you to see. Thank you for your support. We hope to keep raising the bar higher.
