Solar Power is on a Roll in Africa

There has been so much progress in Solar Power in Africa in the last six months. Rwanda is building an 8.5 MW utility scale solar power plant. Kenya has committed to using Solar to power it’s grid. A German company completed a Solar panel manufacturing facility in Sokoto Nigeria.

The company will power its production facility using solar panels. The panels they manufacture have a unique feature. They work well in the desert heat. Traditional solar panels loose efficiency in very high heat like what you experience in the desert.

South Africa has manufacturing facilities representing some of the largest Solar Power and equipment manufacturers in the world. Both European and Chinese.
